A client came to us about a failed purchase of medical equipment without the appropriate certification. The case had been neglected on many fronts. The signed contract contained only a few clauses dictated by the seller. The supplied equipment, as it turned out, did not have the proper certification. Thanks to a meticulous and extensive analysis of the relevant documentation, a review of Chinese jurisprudence, and cooperation of teams in Warsaw and Shanghai, we were able to successfully file a lawsuit on the basis of which the court agreed to grant security over the property of the defendant Chinese seller for the amount of USD 1,280,000 and within seven days of the application being filed, the client had his claim secured.
