Kamil Biernat
Attorney-at-law | Managing Partner of Hanglung LawKamil is an admitted attorney-at-law (Polish: radca prawny) specializing in mergers and acquisitions, commercial law and international arbitration.
His international business experience allows him to effectively advise on and participate in the creation of new entities and capital groups around the world.
He has worked for a leading Chinese law firm and for the legal departments of international capital groups, having also acted as a legal department head. He has also served as a management board member, authorised signatory and supervisory board member of many large international entities (including Vershold Poland Sp. z o. o.), both in Poland and in China.
Kamil’s familiarity with an international environment, gained through many years of traveling, studying, and working in countries such as the United States of America, Great Britain, and China, gives him an open mind, an awareness of different perspectives and the ability to assess problems thoroughly and accurately.
In building a global law firm, Kamil is guided by the motto of Norwegian traveller Thor Heyerdahl: “Borders? I have never seen one, but I have heard they exist in the mind of some people”.
He graduated in law from the University of South Wales in Great Britain (LLB) and the University of Wrocław as well as completed postgraduate studies in Chinese law in China at the well-known and respected China University of Political Science and Law, 中国政法大学, where the law faculty is regularly recognized as one of the best law faculty in the People’s Republic of China in annual rankings.
He is candid about taking pride in having founded the firm and in promoting Polish-Asian cooperation. Thanks to this, he has furthered the professionalization of Polish entities and fostered the development of the Polish economy, assisting business entities that are starting out.
Kamil admires the rapid technological and social development of China, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea as well as the focus on science and technological development that is a feature of the prevailing mindset in East Asian countries.
He spends his free time with his family and traveling. He also likes to play golf and cites Ignacy Jan Paderewski as a source of inspiration.
Kamil speaks English and rudimentary Chinese.
